MISSOURI-A recent study conducted at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and published in the journal Circulation: Heart Failure found that beet juice could prevent heart failure.

The study analyzed a group of participants who were given beet juice. The researchers examined their heart function and health.
The team found that two hours after drinking the juice the nitrates in the juice increased heart health by 13 percent, specifically the nitrates help the heart muscles pump blood more efficiently through the body.
